Beautifully Tailored Spaces

Fourways is a building steeped in history, with graft in it's very foundations. A building that represents so much of Manchester's heritage, whilst being a platform for it's future.

The building has now been rennovated and taken a step forward into the new age of business. Taking the heritage of the building that is in every brick that you see, and breathing new life into them.

Inspired by the story so far, the building has been refined to deliver for the businesses of tomorrow – taken the nuance of the original Beaumonth + Sons architecture and enhancing it with 21st century steel walkways bridging the two sides of the building over the previous loading bay.

In 1850, the site was populated by number of small terraced houses and slum dwellings accessed through two small passageways called China Lane Court and Heywood's Court.

The site whad changed drastically by 1888, becoming used as a Rag & Paper store, and then used for packing/shipping as 4 separate warehouses.

Between 1960 and 1966 the original decorated brick gables and chimney stacks were removed.

Built in 1906 by James William Beaumont + Sons

In 2000 it became a Grade 2 listed building.
